We decided to switch it up a little this week. Don't worry, we are still gonna get to the noise talking and predictions...but FIRST.....we are gonna highlight some new Rookies this season. We will highlight 4 new ladies this week, and 4 new fellas next week.

Westbury
Karin graduated from Westbury in 2000. At Westbury, she played volleyball, basketball, track and cross country. She received a track scholarship to Alcorn State University and ran track and cross country for Alcorn before graduating in 2005.After college, Karin became a teacher in HISD. In addition to being a new kickball player at Westbury, Karin also plays football. She is a QB, LB and WR. Last Sunday she went 4-5 kicking and made her presence known on defense for the Rebels.
#00 Veronica "LUV-LI" Whitworth
Milby
Veronica graduated from Milby in 1998 and was an introvert,stayed to herself,.went to class, and focused on the books. She went to college at Barber-Scotia in Concord NC and later moved to Maryland for 6 years, started a career with Verizon.Moved to Florida in 2011 for 3 years before coming back to Houston in 2014. She has a 16 year old son named Tyrrell and a 4 year old Maltese named Bella. She also cycles a few times a week with Houston Ladies Cycling Club and volunteers a great deal at local Women's Shelters and Dress for Success.She also has a A.A in Psychology and a B.S. in International Business.

Jack Yates
Dr. Michelle Simpson was the salutatorian of the Jack Yates class of 1998. At Yates she played Volleyball, Basketball, and softball. She received an academic scholarship to Bennett College in Greensboro ,NC where she played softball and volleyball. She graduated with honors and attended the University of Nebraska and earned her Master's Degree and PHd. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,Inc.
Michelle has made an immediate impact on the Lions team. She currently works for the National Association of Corrosion Engineers.
#11 DeAndra "FLASH" Walter-Ferry
Eisenhower
DeAndra graduated from Eisenhower in 1999. While at Ike she was all-district 1st team in basketball,softball,and volleyball...ALL 4 years. Although she was recruited to play softball by Texas, Texas A&M,Baylor, Michigan State, Ole Miss, and several other schools..since Basketball was her favorite she ultimately decided to take a basketball scholarship to Nicholl's State University. While at Nicholls she set a school record in steals and scored over 1500 points in her career. She also won a Southland Conference championship in volleyball her senior year. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts with a minor in Criminal Justice. DeAndra is a very active traveling softball player and a new member of Ike's kickball team. In only her 3rd game of the 2016 season she kicked 3 for 3 and 2 scores and a few RBI's..

On last Sunday, the Madhouse Marlins accomplished a feat that few teams have been able to pull off. The fish pitched a shutout for the entire day, going 3-0 without allowing a run. They say "defense win championships", but can Madison continue to toss up the gooseeggs against the league? Stay tuned! That's the bottom line

Michael White I got Ball because although Madison is 3-0...they only scored 4 runs in three games combined. And one of those games was against Sterling playing with 8 people. One error and G-Ball can cost you several runs. I just don't see Madison as a team that's gonna come from behind several points against one of the better teams in the league. For them to win they need to use their defense to stop Ball from scoring. I think Madison could win in a close one but if G-Ball scores 4 or more runs I got them winning this.

Chile please. She must not have gotten the memo that Madison has no O after Stais, Daff, and Trent. None. Zilch. Nada. Poquito. It'll be an upset if Madison even scores in this one.
